上庠村位于房道镇境内。村子原名黄双墙，因1892年大旱后村民忌讳“黄”字，改称上庠。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子由黄氏始建，原名黄双墙。取“上”字，据称与村尾的“倒水龙”向上有关；取“庠”字，则因魏姓中有读书人曾设计书院。[1]

新中国成立初属房道八区；1958年归七道大队，1969年从七道大队析出，另设上庠良种场，1977年改称上庠大队，1984年才有今名。[1]

2022年10月，省农业农村厅把上庠村认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
