房道村位于房道镇镇区，属镇中心区。村名出自民国时期的一次合并：房村上里与七道村并为一个行政里，各取一字，合成“房道”。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，隋文帝初年（581年）汪氏、桑氏为避战乱先后迁入此地，最初称汪桑街。此后地名多次改易，明清两代称房道下里、房道上里等。[1]

1942年（民国三十一年）定名房道村。此后1952年归房道三区管辖；1958年成为房道大队，并入房道公社；1984年才更为现名。[1]

经济[edit]

2025年11月，房道村被确定为「福建省2025年度省级“一村一品”专业村」，所列产业为水稻。[1]
