地名由来[edit]
村子建在一处土墩旁，因而得名宅墩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
解放初村子属吉阳六区，称宅墩乡；1958年划为吉阳公社宅墩大队，1984年才改用今名。[1]
地理[edit]
村境属丘陵地带，海拔180米。已探测到地下有少量紫铜和铁矿，蕴藏量少，未开发。[2]
荣誉[edit]
宅墩村于2021年11月获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
