传说村庄溪北有竹篙精，因「精」与「津」读音相近，村名遂称北津。[1]
地理[edit]
205国道与横南铁路穿过村境，建溪也流经此处，另有在建的合福高速铁路经过。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，北津村获福建省爱卫办评为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
2023年10月，北津村入选「2023年度南平市绿盈乡村中级版村庄」名单；2023年12月，获评「2023年度福建省森林村庄」。[1]
