七里街村是建瓯市瓯宁街道下辖的行政村，地处建瓯古城西郊，村名因距建瓯古城七华里而得名。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

村子坐落在建溪上游的河岸盆地上，后靠山、前临水：西北方向有金山、花山与屏凤山，东南则是建溪。境内共有十个自然村，分为十五个村民小组，住户954户。[1][3]

村北邻火车站，南面连着205国道和建溪河岸，西边是高速铁路，是交通要道。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1953年3月，城关区公所升格为区人民政府，与此同时，七里街进忠乡换成了乡公所的建制。1958年8月，村子在人民公社化中改称进忠大队；1980年8月的地名普查中，村名恢复为七里街。[1][3]

1984年，人民公社与大队建制撤销，改设七里街村委会。[1][3]
