村子建在溪流西侧，村名由此而来。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网的两处记载不一：一处称村子前身为张际大队，1976年改建西际大队；另一处历史沿革作1958年设西际大队，1960年划归洋庄公社，1984年起称西际村民委员会，此后归洋庄乡管辖。[1][2]

人口与资源[edit]

村辖八个自然村与八个村民小组。全村耕地1679亩，生态林4509亩，毛竹林22873亩，共218户、830人，博雅地名网未注明年份。[1]
