岚谷乡位于福建省南平市武夷山市北部，东与浦城县接壤，北和西北与江西省交界，乡政府驻岚谷村。当地山谷狭长、多雾气，乡名即由此而来[1][2]。全乡山林广布，人们常以「九山半水半分田」概括这一带的地貌[2]。境内的岭阳关古驿道连接闽赣两省，是这里最重要的古迹之一[6]。
历史沿革[edit]
这一带在宋元明清时期称石臼里，属新丰乡，俗称北乡[1][2]。民国二十三年（1934年）起称岚谷乡[1]。新中国成立后先后划入第六区、第五区，1958年撤区并乡时分设岚谷、黎口两个乡[1][2]。1961年设岚谷公社，1984年6月撤销岚谷公社，改设岚谷乡[3][4]。
红军在闽北活动的那段时期，正值第二次国内革命战争，岚谷、染溪、岭阳、齐白等处都留下过它的武装活动痕迹[2]。
地理环境[edit]
乡境地势北高南低，海拔在360米至990米之间。主峰铜钹山海拔1534.6米[2]。境内主要河流有前溪和后溪：前溪发源于岭阳关，后溪发源于铜钹山，两溪在客口汇合后注入东溪，是东溪水库的主要水源[2]。
乡境属亚热带季风气候[3]。全乡总面积，百度百科作285.7平方千米，2021年武夷山市政府的在线访谈则称287平方公里[3][5]。
人口[edit]
截至2019年末，全乡户籍人口为18039人[3]。2020年11月1日零时，第七次全国人口普查的常住人口为8467人[3][4]。2021年的访谈称全乡约有4600户、1.9万人，未注明统计口径[5]。
经济与物产[edit]
岚谷熏鹅是乡内最知名的物产。它的「福建十大名菜」称号在2017年授予，而此前它已于2014年5月取得地理标志证明商标，并于2015年10月被列入南平市级非物质文化遗产名录[5]。此外，当地还产熏鱼、熏蛋、蜂蜜、竹荪、白米酒和高山梯田所产的北米[5]。
名胜古迹[edit]
岚谷岚峰塔位于岚谷村，建于清光绪二十五年，是县级文物保护单位[7]。
闽赣古驿道（岭阳关）位于岭阳村丘岭自然村一带，与江西交界，全长约2020米，保存有关隘、驿道、桥涵和路亭等遗迹[6]。据《人民日报》的报道，它始建于唐五代，宋时设巡检司驻军把守，元代设置关防[6]。2021年的访谈称其为「国家级文物保护单位」，并把它列为岚谷可借助的生态与文化资源[5]。
