下阳村是上梅乡的行政村，位于乡政府所在的中心区。村名早先写作下杨、夏杨或下洋，因杨姓先人最早在此开基定居，后谐音改为今名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子在1958年设为大队，当时归乐园公社管辖，1960年改属五夫公社，1972年划入下阳公社。1984年建立村民委员会，隶属下阳乡；1989年起归上梅乡。[2]
