城村隶属兴田镇，位于镇南部，崇阳溪绕村而过，2012年列入首批中国传统村落。[1][3]

村子西南约1公里处的城村汉城遗址，是武夷山世界文化与自然遗产的一处组成部分；闽越王城博物馆也设在村中。[1][7][6]

历史沿革[edit]

关于村子建立的年代，资料说法不一：百度百科称始建于隋唐时期，宋元时才兴起；快懂百科和博雅地名网则作宋代所建。[5][4][2]

据博雅地名网，村中的赵、林、李三姓先民于近千年前陆续聚居于此，形成了众多古迹并存的村落。[1]

村中赵姓村民，据载是宋太宗赵匡胤长子赵元佐的后代，元代迁居到这里。[1]

村名与旁边的闽越王城有关。汉武帝平定闽越之后，原先的越族居民迁往江淮一带，村子荒废了数百年，此后有人在古越人的城邑上建村，因此又称古粤城村。[1]

建筑[edit]

村中的古民居多为一进的三合院，门楼饰有砖雕，厅堂的立柱用老油杉，屋内不刷漆，保留木材本色。[1]

村内清代建筑包括百岁坊、华光庙、古粤门楼，以及百岁翁祠、赵氏家祠、李氏家祠、林氏家祠等，并列有慈云阁、药王庙等古建。[1][8]

遗址与博物馆[edit]

城村汉城遗址在村子西南约1公里处，遗址内设有城门、宫殿遗址与排水系统，是村中最主要的古迹。[1][7]

闽越王城博物馆是汉城遗址的管理机构，属省级文博单位，展出汉代金、银、铜、陶瓷等文物。[6]
