桐木村位于武夷山国家级自然保护区之内，地处闽赣交界，是武夷山风景名胜区九曲溪的源头。村名因早年村落四周长满桐树而来。[1][3]

桐木关坐落于本村，系福建、江西两省的界关，属武夷山八大雄关之一。[3]

桐木村是武夷山国家级自然保护区的中心区，平均海拔约900米。博雅地名网载村内有27个自然村，百度百科则作12个自然村，二者未注明年份。[1][2][3]

产业与荣誉[edit]

茶叶和毛竹是村中的支柱产业。博雅地名网称桐木村为世界红茶的发源地，村中出产的正山小种红茶历史悠久；土特产有蜂蜜、香榧和黑笋干。[2]

2022年桐木村的红茶获评第十二批全国「一村一品」示范村。[3]

2024年2月，桐木村列入「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」的创建对象；2025年11月，被认定为「福建省第二批省级乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
