崇安街道位于福建省南平市武夷山市的城区中部，是武夷山市人民政府驻地所在的街道。[2] 据博雅地名网载，街道之名取「崇地安宁」之意。[2]

994年（宋淳化五年）崇安场改设为崇安县，此后这一带长期是县治所在。[3] 街道的建制先后经历了崇城镇、崇安镇两个阶段，2002年或2003年前后撤镇设街道。[2][1] 2010年普查时居住人口为48271人，2011年末总人口为43968人。[2][1]

地理环境[edit]

街道位于武夷山市中部，东面与吴屯乡相接，南与新丰街道接壤，西面和西北面与洋庄乡、武夷街道毗邻。[1] 辖区面积的数字各家不一：百度百科载为84.1平方千米，博雅地名网载为约80.92平方千米，两者均未注年份。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

县署始设于营岭，即如今城关的中心一带，修建时间在宋至道年间（995至997年）。[3] 博雅地名网称这一带古时称四隅里。[2]

1958年，街道所在地归曙光公社所辖，1960年由其中划出城关公社。[2] 1981年，城关公社改为崇城镇；[3] 1995年，崇城镇改为崇安镇（博雅地名网作1995年，百度百科作1995年12月）。[2][1]

撤镇设街的时间有两说：博雅地名网记为2002年11月，百度百科记为2003年1月。[2][1] 1989年8月，武夷山市取代崇安县的名号设立，原辖范围保持不变。[3] 2015年12月新设立济川社区。[2]

2021年2月，崇安街道列入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[2]

人口[edit]

2010年普查时，街道居住人口为48271人。[2] 2011年末，街道总人口为43968人。[1] 两个数字的年份与口径不同，各自只说明其所载的时点。

文化遗存[edit]

博雅地名网记文庙（崇圣祠、明伦堂）在温岭社区，地址为文化宫路1号，建于宋代，现为县级文物保护单位。[2] 维基百科记北宋绍圣二年（1095年）时文庙曾在营岭重建，旧址在今市政府与市图书馆附近；1959年定为崇安县文物保护单位，1961年因是闽北工农兵代表会议的会址，又被定为福建省文物保护单位，2001年1月20日撤销省级资格。[4]

博雅地名网还列有百花岩和闽北革命烈士纪念馆为街道的景观，并称纪念馆内珍藏有较多革命历史文物。[2]
