张厝乡位于福建省南平市邵武市的东南部。乡域东面紧挨洪墩镇，东南角与顺昌县大干镇相接，西南面与将乐县安仁乡相连，西面毗邻大埠岗镇，北面接着拿口镇。乡人民政府驻张厝村。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代这一带属仁荣乡。[3] 民国时期划入二十都，1949年编为第七区。[1] 1958年归红东人民公社管辖，那一带今属洪墩镇。[1] 1961年12月设张厝公社，1984年12月撤销公社，改设张厝乡。[1][3]

2014年6月，环境保护部授予张厝乡「2012—2013年度国家级生态乡镇」称号。[1]

地名由来[edit]

南宋中期，此处还只是一个小村落，居民多姓张，起初叫作张家弄，后改称张厝。[1]
