历史沿革[edit]
明清时期此地属昼锦上乡四十一都，民国时设儒盖、巫山两保，隶属儒林乡。[1]
1951年曾归朱源乡，1952年改属朱岚乡，1958年归余山大队所辖。1961年至1984年8月称盖竹大队；同年9月起划归桂林乡，定名盖竹村。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村域以山区为主，四面青山环绕。最高点为巫山的叶竹隘，海拔1100米；最低点为渠岭下，海拔489米。[2]
巫山溪源自巫山，长17.3公里，被视为闽江的源头之一；草桥溪出自福林峰，长7.2公里。两溪均注入富屯溪。[2]
境内已探明的矿藏有高岭土、稀土、粘土、金、银、钨及大理石。[2]
经济[edit]
耕地1226亩，其中水田960亩，粮食作物以水稻为主。林地3.7万亩，其中毛竹林1.8万亩，村民收入以毛竹生产为主。[2]
文化[edit]
村中畲族传承练泰术、棍术、板凳功、打樵等项目；村民中多数信佛，农历七月初七有纪念妣母生日的活动。[2]
2022年10月，本村入选2022年度南平市「绿盈乡村」中级版村庄名单。[1]
葫芦塘一带有傩舞，博雅地名网称其渊源可追溯至商周，并说宋代自中原传入邵武。[1]
