吴家塘社区是吴家塘镇的社区居民委员会，位于镇中心区，居委会一带临富屯溪河畔。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

早先这里只是一个偏僻的小村落，村头有一方池塘，村中吴、张、陈、邱四姓聚居，以吴姓居多，村名因此而来。[2]

此处原为吴家塘农场的一个管区。2000年7月农场改制设镇，这一管区改设吴家塘居委会，此后改称吴家塘社区居民委员会。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

居委会依山傍水，鹰厦铁路穿境而过，距邵武市区18公里，离国道316线约2公里。[2][3]

人口民族[edit]

居委会土地面积4.68平方千米，全居现有人口1300多人、592户，划分为11个居民小组。以上数字见于博雅地名网，未注明统计年份。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

境内的古文物有云彤吴进士府第遗址。[2][3]
