琢石村位于邵武市西南部，西与泰宁县交界，辖4个自然村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

原村中有一块巨石露出地面，后被凿去，俗称「琢」，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1951年，本村归第六区新里乡。1958年设琢石大队，1984年改为村委会，此后地名一直沿用。[1]
