和平村是和平镇人民政府的驻地，据博雅地名网也是全镇最大的行政村，村南山岗上建有聚奎塔。[1][2][5]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时此地称昼锦乡和平里。明清两代归三十三都，隶属昼锦下乡；民国时期设保。1950年设和平镇，1958年成为和平大队，1984年转为村委会，至今沿用。[1][3]

此地昔日地势平坦、盛产水稻，因而得名；据博雅地名网，和平古称禾坪，物产以稻谷、茶叶为主。[4][2]

文化[edit]

村南约1.5公里的山岗上建有聚奎塔，2009年被列入「第七批福建省文物保护单位」，详见和平镇。[5][1]

荣誉方面，2016年12月入选第四批中国传统村落名录，2021年10月被农业农村部推介为「2021年中国美丽休闲乡村」，2021年11月被评为「2021年福建省卫生村」，2023年11月入选「第三批全国乡村治理示范村」。[1]

经济[edit]

据博雅地名网，村内每月逢四、九为墟日，集市上交易的主要物产有茶叶、粮食、仔猪与鲤鱼等。[2]
