历史沿革[edit]
村名一说来自村东南角的一块巨石，相传形状像鹿；另一说是解放初肖家坊、桂林、金坑一带的人去邵武，都要经过此处的隘口。[1][4]
明清两代鹿口属永城上乡四十三都。民国时期先隶属坎头联保，后归禾凤乡。新中国成立后，1951年设鹿口乡，1958年改为鹿口大队并归和平公社，1984年转为村委会。[2][1]

2011年，鹿口村被评为邵武市文明村。[1]
