历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历是：村前原有一条溪，涨水时水面宽阔，近岸一带如同湖泊，岸边野菊丛生。清代因此叫作「湖菊」，民国初年以方言谐音改为「芜窟」。[1][2]
村中以谭、陈、邱、黄四姓为多。谭氏始祖在明代自江西省进贤县迁入福建，定居于此。1984年设立村民委员会。[1][2]
人口民族[edit]
2011年末辖区总人口677人，另有流动人口450人。村内辖芜窟、下炉、上炉、陈家、黄家、天龙岩六个自然村，分为6个村民小组。[2]
