地理环境[edit]
村落东西向较长、南北较窄，属丘陵地带，地势平坦。[1]
村名的来历是：早年村中有两口井，原名双井村。后来两兄弟不睦，便用墙把井隔开，到明清时称为隔上。[1]因方言中“隔上”与“加尚”读音相同，后来写作加尚。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
明清时称十都；民国时设加尚保，归朱坊乡。[1]1950年，村子改称加池乡，划入第三区；1956年，加尚组成高级社；1958年改为大队，隶属朱坊公社；1984年设村委会。[2]
2021年12月，村被确定为「福建省第二批高级版绿盈乡村（乡镇）」，同月被命名为「2021年度福建省森林村庄」；2022年12月，村被福建省爱国卫生运动委员会命名为「2022年福建省卫生村」；2024年11月，村被认定为「2024年度福建省“一村一品”专业村」（优质稻）。[1]
