历史沿革[edit]
1951年，村域划为芹田乡，归第八区管辖。[2]
1958年成立芹田大队，隶属城关公社；1972年，村庄从城关公社分离出来，归入新设的莲塘公社；1984年起改设村民委员会，名称一直沿用。[2][3]
2024年1月，芹田村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[2]
地理环境[edit]
古山溪从村中蜿蜒流过。村中有两条水泥路通往市区，各小组之间的道路大多已硬化。[1]
经济[edit]
村域以山地为主，有林地、毛竹山和果园，农田水利配套较完备，灌溉排水方便；果园大多已改用滴灌。[1]
