水北街道是福建省南平市邵武市的一个街道，位于市区北部、富屯溪北岸，北面、东面和西面都与水北镇交界[5]。1983年邵武县改市后，原属水北乡的靠近市区部分划入市区，同年11月设立水北街道办事处[2][5]；百度百科则记为1984年成立[3]。

历史沿革[edit]

1990年，邵武市辖有昭阳、通泰、水北、晒口四个街道办事处，水北街道办事处在其中；同一时期，水北一带还设有水北乡[1]。1992年7月，水北乡撤销，改设水北镇，辖区与驻地都未作变动[1]。

2000年1月，城区三个街道的部分居委会作了调整，水北办事处下的药村、聂家巷、四板路三个居委会被撤销[1]。2002年1月，街道的居委会改称社区居委会[1]。

2020年7月设立紫云桥社区[1]，据博雅地名网，它由水东社区分出而来[6]。

地理环境[edit]

街道沿富屯溪北岸东西延伸，素称「十里长街」；鹰厦铁路纵贯其中，邵武站位于街道内[2][4]。博雅地名网称邵武火车站「是入闽第一大站」[2]。

街道面积，邵武市2021年行政区划表作14.20平方千米[1]；博雅地名网与百度百科则作7平方千米[2][3]。百度百科另记其东西方向最长约10千米、南北方向最长约3千米[3]。两者相差甚大，此处取政府表的数字。
