公太社区位于昭阳街道，属邵武市主城区，是街道内的一个城市社区。[1]

地名由来[edit]

社区名取自驻地的旧路名。这条路原称公泰街，后来简写为公太，地名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1953年，这里隶属通太街。文革中通太街改名为红星街，其后街改设居委会，归红星居委会管辖；1980年恢复通泰居委会的名称。1983年撤销通泰居委会，析其辖地另设公太居委会，以公太巷为名，沿用至今。[1]
