前溪村是政和县岭腰乡下辖的行政村，地处政和县东北部，与浙江省庆元县的举水、安南两乡接壤，村中驻地为下洋村。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

民国29年（1940年）设前溪保，隶遂应场乡。1958年组建前溪大队，划入红旗公社；1984年转为行政村，随即设立村委。1997年，铁山的七个村另组岭腰乡，前溪村亦在其中。[1]

村部在1987年由上山村迁至下洋村，新建村部办公楼一座。[3]

地理环境[edit]

香炉尖位于前溪境内，海拔1597米，是岭腰乡的最高峰。[2]

文化[edit]

福建省第一批省级传统村落中有前溪村，列入时间为2015年10月。[1]
