地名由来[edit]
村子位于山峡的口子上，因此得名岭腰。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国29年（1940年）设岭腰保，隶临江乡，民国33年改属启贤乡。1951年设岭腰乡，隶第四区。1958年改作岭腰大队，归入红旗公社；此后又于1969年转入铁山公社。1984年起成为行政村，村民委员会随之设置。1997年铁山的七个行政村另组岭腰乡，岭腰村随之属此乡。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
后山桥跨在乐平溪上，始建于明代，为省级重点文物保护单位。百度百科将其所在位置标为岭腰村后山自然村。[3]
文化[edit]
2021年11月，岭腰村被省爱卫办定为福建省卫生村（2021年度）。[1]
