村落由黄姓奠基，建在沙滩地带，初称黄滩；新中国成立后改称黄坦。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期这里归富垅乡统辖。1984年黄坦村村民委员会成立；2012年，村部搬往原小学旧址。[3]
