地名[edit]
村名由境内杨梅林的梅字与西面坡前的坡字合成。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国33年（1944年），梅坡设保，隶属星溪镇。1954年改设梅坡乡，归第一区；1958年又改为梅坡大队，列入红专公社，1969年转属城关公社。[1]
1984年，大队转为梅坡行政村，村民委员会随之设立。[1]
交通与自然[edit]
松政省道穿村而过，村庄处于城乡结合部，交通便利。[2]
赛中溪流经村境，溪畔有廊桥。[3]
