地名与沿革[edit]
明代，周宁县硋磘村的连姓兄弟来此烧炭，先后立下连坑与上连坑两村，取兄弟连心、两村和睦之意。[1]
1958年组建连坑大队，划入前进公社；1969年改隶镇前公社；1984年设为行政村。[1]
