2016年7月，半源村以「翡翠灵芽」一项获农业部认定，列为「第六批全国一村一品示范村镇」；2020年12月，该村又以「翡翠灵芽」「中药材」两个产品，先后出现在省级「一村一品」示范村的名单上。[1]
半源村是省定老区基点贫困村，村中有6个自然村，平均海拔在900多米。[1]
