际头村在政和县镇前镇的西北方向，离镇政府约4.5公里，属省定老区贫困村。[1]
地名与沿革[edit]
村尾有一处水际，水流湍急，瀑布十分壮观，村因此得名际头。[1]
唐代的叶延一由别处迁来，先在东湖一带停留，之后迁到今镇前际头开基立业，被后人推为政和叶氏的鼻祖。[2]
1970年组建际头大队，归镇前公社；1984年改为际头行政村，同时成立村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2020年12月，际头村获「2020年福建省森林村庄」称号；2023年10月，被纳入「2023年度南平市绿盈乡村中级版」名单。[1]
