镇前村是政和县镇前镇的行政村，镇人民政府驻在村内，镇名即由此而来。[2]
地名与沿革[edit]
此地先前有宅上、卜前两个村落，后来设立关隶镇，镇衙落在卜前，村名于是改为镇前。[1]
民国时期此村归镇前乡的鞍山保管辖；1951年设镇前乡，隶属第二区。1958年成为镇前大队，先隶前进公社，1969年又归镇前公社；1984年改设镇前行政村，并设立村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2014年11月，镇前村列入「第三批中国传统村落」名录；2022年10月，获认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2023年12月，获命名「2023年度福建省森林村庄」。[1]
