甫场村位于祖墩乡境内，东侧与白马山省级自然保护区接壤，南侧邻接花桥乡下洋村，北侧与渭田镇董坑村相连，辖马厝、甫场两个自然村。村名先称「铺窑场」，后因方言中「铺」与「甫」同音，改称甫场。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村落始建于清代，隶属崇仁乡庆原里六图；民国时期归祖墩乡古油保。1958年为东风公社祖墩大队所辖，1961年划入坑口公社，1966年归祖墩公社。[1]

1977年，此地为祖墩乡林场驻地。[1]

1988年，祖墩乡林场改为甫场村。[2]
