历史沿革[edit]
村子的起源可追到宋代，当时属东平乡永宁里的二十都，明清两代仍属永宁里。1940年设严地保，此后曾归渭田一带的区乡管辖；1966年起这里成为祖墩公社的严地大队；乡制于1984年重新设立，大队随即改为村。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
严地矮桥在村子南边，属清代的单孔石拱廊屋桥，桥面约28.7米长、5米宽，保护范围各方向外延10米，为县级文物保护单位。[1]
文化[edit]
2014年，村子被认定为省级生态村，同时也是省级绿色村庄；福建省第一批省级传统村落名单里有严地村，时间为2015年10月。[2][1]
