地名由来[edit]
村名早年写作长演。相传村落坐落在花桥溪畔，溪水长流，村名因而得来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村落的起源在宋代，隶属善政乡杉溪里八都。1935年设长衍保，1949年成为花桥乡下辖的长衍村。1958年划归东风公社花桥大队，1961年改属花桥公社，单设长衍大队。1984年政社分开，大队改为村。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
花桥长演桥位于村东南约300米的下洋溪上，建于清代，为单孔石拱桥，长27米、宽5.2米，保护范围向四周各延伸10米。[2]
