河东乡在松溪县东部，东边与浙江省庆元县为邻，北接旧县乡，西与松源街道相连。乡政府驻地在松溪河东岸，离县城约500米，乡名由此而来。[1][6]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代这片地方归东平乡皈伏里的七都管辖。清朝康熙年间，它改隶河东隅，编在皈伏里的八图。民国时期先后归皈伏区与第一区（即大布区）管理。[1][4]

1940年，大布地区设镇，划入城关区；次年改作乡，别称仁泽示范乡、大布实验乡，直接受县府管辖。新中国成立后，1949年9月又设大布乡，仍在城关区内。[1][4]

1956年4月，大布乡被分开，形成河东街与大布乡两个单位，前者归建设镇，后者归大布区。1962年8月，大布大队撤销，分出大布和长巷两个公社。[1]

1966年8月，这两个公社又缩为五个大队，即河东、大布、横垅、长江和长巷，统属城关公社。1980年10月，城关公社的上述五个大队分出去，并新增岩后大队，合成大布公社，治所设在大布村；次年大布公社更名河东公社，治所移到河东村。[1]

1984年10月，政社分开，乡一级恢复，于是设立河东乡。水东社区成立于1989年12月。[1][4]

2014年6月，环境保护部把「2012—2013年度国家级生态乡镇」的称号授予了河东乡。[3]

地理环境[edit]

乡政府驻地在松溪河东岸。乡域面积64.5平方千米，其中耕地约1.22万亩，山地约5.65万亩。[1]

人口民族[edit]

据《松溪统计年鉴2026》，2025年农村基层组织统计中，河东乡共设村（居）委会7个，总户数4534户，总人口14564人。[2]

经济[edit]

乡内主要产业为蔬菜、茶叶、瓜果、甘蔗、烟草和食用菌。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

罗汉寺在大布村，其大殿建于清代，属省级文物，政府网站说它是松溪县内仅有的一处省级文物。[5][1]

县级文物还有三处：河东马鞍山遗址在河东村，大布溪骨山遗址在大布村，两处遗存都可追溯到商周；山合五代窑则在长巷村，年代介于五代与宋之间。[5]

福当山在乡境东北部，距县城约8公里，山脚下的凉山寺始建于宋建隆二年（961年），明万历年间（1619年）曾经重建。山原称圣者山，后改为现名，与当地的福文化有关。[1]

福当山一带旧有商道，1895年古商道旁建起一座风雨亭，即古驿站，为往来商旅提供遮蔽。[1]

此外，乡内名胜还有三清观、旨封寺、百层溪大峡谷和神岩庵。[1]
