地名与沿革[edit]
古时村两岸杉木成林，水源充足，又在溪口右岸，故名杉溪。[1]
村落的起源可追溯到宋朝，隶属善政乡杉溪里八都。[1]
1941年，村属第二区郑墩乡，为其下的明德保。1962年设杉溪大队，归郑墩区管辖，后改属郑墩公社。1984年10月，大队改为村。[1]

村中有4个村民小组，共241户、854人。辖地面积25296亩，山地21539亩，耕地1100.9亩。农民收入主要依靠外出务工、农作物、茶叶和粮食。上述数字未注明年份。[1][2]
荣誉[edit]
第二批「国家森林乡村」名单由国家林业和草原局于2019年12月公布，杉溪村名列其中。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
陈戬墓在大濑山上，位于村中洋墩坪自然村以北，墓依山而建，占地约150平方米。墓主陈戬为南宋官员，1084年生，宋大观三年（1109年）登进士。[3][4]
