梅口村位于松溪河畔，村中的梅口埠是松溪河下游的古码头，2022年被评为「国家4A级旅游景区」。[2][3]

地名与沿革[edit]

据县民政人社局的地名文章，村子始于唐朝，古称尾口。松溪方言中“尾”与“梅”同音，加之早年村中多种梅花，上世纪五六十年代雅化为梅口。[3] 博雅地名网则解释为明朝时梅树成林，又因地处松溪河流出县境的红门隘，故称梅口。[1]

村落的起源可追溯到宋朝，隶属善政乡杉溪里十二都。[1]

1941年，此地设梅口、梅里两保，归梅口乡管辖。1952年划入第五区，属梅口乡。[1]

1958年改设卫星公社梅口大队，1962年另设梅口小公社。1966年后改隶郑墩公社，称梅口大队。1984年10月，大队改为村。[1]

梅口埠[edit]

梅口埠位于松溪河下游，河面在此变宽、水流转缓，适于设码头。北宋起已有人在此经营水运，南宋时已初具规模，是松溪的五大码头之一，另四处为大南门、大西门、大布与旧县。[3]

据《松溪县志》，梅口曾有十八个姓氏家族分别经营茶、瓷、米、竹等行当，每家对应一条巷道通向一座码头，民间有“梅口18码头18巷，18巷里18姓”之说。[3]

码头旁的香樟林占地二十余亩，有大小香樟树108棵。[3]

2022年，梅口埠被评为「国家4A级旅游景区」。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中有梅口区苏维埃政府遗址。[3] 梅口书院内设松溪版画传习所，游客可以亲手刻版。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年4月，村获评「2020年度福建省乡村振兴实绩突出村」。2024年2月，被确定为「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」创建对象。2025年11月，被认定为「福建省第二批省级乡村振兴示范村」。[1] 村还先后被授予省级传统古村落、省级金牌旅游村等称号。[3]
