举安村位于司前乡南部，旧称举贤村。村名由原先的举贤、九庵坑两村各取一字，初称“举庵”，后改为“举安”。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村落已有三百多年历史。明代末年，村中黄氏出过进士，其中黄伯圭中进士后任陕西监察御史，村中因此有“文人九举十三贡”之称。同一时期，祖籍福建泉州、南安的居民陆续迁入，村民至今世代使用闽南语。[2]

1984年设立村民委员会。[1]
