台山村位于司前乡中部，村名取自旧称猪头山的台山，村民沿山麓周边定居而成村落。[1]

村内的毛湛毛氏宗祠是福建省第七批省级文物保护单位。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

毛湛毛氏宗祠建于清嘉庆年间（1796～1820年），建筑面积720平方米，为砖石结构，前后三进，三开间，正门与大殿之间设有戏台。2009年被公布为福建省第七批省级文物保护单位。[2][3]

毛氏后裔中有迁居台湾的，近年不少人回乡来祠谒祖寻亲。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，村域在永德里二十四都境内。民国时期归新甸乡；1950年由新甸区设台山乡，1952年台山乡改隶司前区；1958年划入司前公社，成为台山大队；1984年改属司前乡，称台山村。[1]
