牛田村位于华桥乡南部，地处闽赣两省交界处，距江西省资溪县约25公里。村中的牛田东路军指挥所旧址是福建省级文物保护单位。[1][2][3]

全村约38平方千米，山林3.7万亩（毛竹约2000亩），耕地2500亩。[1]

村子辖7个自然村、10个村民小组，共316户、1326人，统计年份未详。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

牛田东路军指挥所旧址位于村中，建于1932年至1933年间，当年东路军的指挥机关设于此地，统帅为朱德与周恩来，旁边还有兵站、红军医院等设施。附属文物牛田红军亭是一座砖砌小亭，曾作为红军休息之所。旧址于2013年列为福建省第八批省级文物保护单位。[3]

村民以林业、粮食和烟叶为主，烟叶种植面积在2013年达到806亩。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

村子在1979年还是牛田生产大队，1984年10月才改设为村。2015年10月，村子入选「福建省第一批省级传统村落」；2019年6月，入选「第五批中国传统村落」名录；2020年12月，入选「2020年福建省森林村庄」名单；福建省爱卫办于2021年11月，将牛田村评为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
