古林村位于华桥乡西南部，东与园岱村接壤，南与牛田村相连，西与增坊村为邻。村域约31.8平方千米，下辖23个自然村。[1][2]

村子海拔496米，境内山岭连绵，村庄分布零散。耕地2090亩，林地约4.36万亩，生产以林业、粮食与烟叶为主。[2]
