邓家边村位于华桥乡西北部，旧称十六都，距县城30公里，距乡政府约8公里。村中东北角有唐代崇安寺遗址，村内还有白水际瀑布和三座古石拱桥。[1][2][3]

地理环境[edit]

全村土地总面积22平方千米，其中山地3.2万亩，以药材和毛竹为主；耕地2766亩，以水稻和烟叶为主。[1][2]

人口民族[edit]

全村共386户、1712人，分为12个自然村、15个村民小组。村子属于汉族与畲族混居的地区，通行汉语方言。[1][3]

文化[edit]

村东北角的崇安寺据博雅地名网称始建于唐朝，百度百科则说这里有唐代崇安寺遗址。村中的白水际瀑布悬挂在山腰，高30多米。[1][2][3]

村中一条小溪迂回曲折，上、中、下游各有一座古老的石拱桥。明末清初村中有富甲一方的方伯进、游家钦；民国初年，王贤祝出资在止马创办了中心小学。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1979年时还是邓家边生产大队，1984年10月才改设为村。福建省爱卫办于2021年11月，将邓家边村评为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
