虎塘村是光泽县止马镇西部的行政村，位于富屯溪源头一带的溪畔，东与华桥乡官屯村接壤，西与双坑村相邻，距县城31公里，距止马镇11公里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

虎塘村旧属光泽县第十一都。始祖在明代由河南迁入福建，定居虎塘，据称繁衍至今已有五百余年。[1]

地理与人口[edit]

村落面积4.5平方公里；村中住1616人，计376户，共有16个自然村和12个村民小组（博雅地名网，未注明年份）。[1][2]

古迹与古树[edit]

村中尚存清末古民居两座，以及陆氏宗祠一座。村里的罗汉松与杏仁树两棵古树，树龄已逾四百年。[2]

企山的搿拱桥始建于清朝末年，据光泽县人民政府网站所载，是止马镇珍贵的历史文物。[4]

村北的鸡啼峰上建有鸡啼峰庙，村南则有古楼峰。[2]

著名人物[edit]

元代诗人黄镇成，字元镇，是虎塘村上井自然村人。据光泽县人民政府网站所载，他生于1286年，卒于1351年，所著《秋声集》收入《四库全书》。他中年后隐居邵武城南，朝廷屡次征召都未应命。[3]
