历史沿革[edit]
村初名店仔塔，位于东南面的山田边。因故迁往西北山麓后，村中黄姓较多，寓松柏常青之意改称黄柏。新中国成立后黄姓渐少，王姓兴盛，20世纪60年代末改名王柏。[1]
民国时期已属山下乡。1958年设王柏大队，归临江公社；1961年改属山下公社；1984年改设王柏村村民委员会，隶属山下乡。[1]
2012年，村子获县委、县政府授予「农业特色产业发展十佳村」称号；2021年12月，被确定为「2021年度福建省一村一品示范村（竹笋）」；2022年10月，入选「2022年度南平市绿盈乡村中级版村庄」名单。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村子东面与源头村毗连，西边紧挨小溪村，北面与山下村交界，南界为武夷山市。全村12个自然村，其中8个在高山上，土地面积11平方公里。[1]
经济[edit]
村内水田有1698亩，毛竹山则超过一万亩；毛竹与笋干为主要出产。[1]
