小溪村是浦城县山下乡的行政村，村名取自旧村委会驻地小溪。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期即属山下乡，建国后经历数次区划调整。1958年归临江公社，编入山下大队；1961年另设小溪大队，隶属山下公社；1984年改为小溪村村民委员会，仍属山下乡。[1][2]

2004年，龙井头自然村整体搬迁，在距集镇1.5公里处建水元寺新村；2010年又在集镇南面新建小溪新村。原先分布在11个高寒偏远自然村的村民，经这次迁建，归并为一个中心村与3个自然村。[2]

2020年11月，村子入选「2020年度南平市绿盈乡村中级版村庄」名单，并获「第六届全国文明村镇」称号；2021年12月，被确定为「福建省第二批高级版绿盈乡村」；2022年10月，被认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2025年3月，被认定为「福建省第一批省级乡村振兴示范村」。[1]

经济[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，村内耕地1106亩，林地18000亩，其中竹林11800亩。竹产业是村中的支柱产业，竹山以村民小组为单位实行第二次均山。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

水元寺一带的水莲香古树群被列为国家级重点保护林。[2]

福建省浦城县第一个党支部的会址设在村中的燕子岩，今为革命旧址。[2]
