山下乡是福建省南平市浦城县下辖的乡，位于县境西部。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

这一带在宋代至清代属仁风里。解放后先后归县内第四、第五区管辖；1956年并入临江区，1958年随之归临江公社。1961年从中划出，另设山下公社，1964年又与枫溪合为一个公社，1984年9月撤山下公社而改置山下乡。[1][2]

乡名因驻地在山下村而来。山下乡于2020年12月被福建省爱卫办命名为「福建省卫生乡镇」，第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇这一称号则于2022年10月由福建省农业农村厅授予。[1]

地理环境[edit]

乡境位于山下溪流域，北邻永兴镇，东与临江镇接界，东南接石陂镇，西连枫溪乡，西南与武夷山市相靠。面积110.43平方千米（据百度百科；博雅地名网作112平方公里）。乡内有公路接通205国道。[1][2]

人口民族[edit]

第七次全国人口普查登记，2020年11月1日零时乡内常住人口为5325人，其中男性2805人，女性2520人。[3] 户籍人口在2019年末为10784人。[2]

经济[edit]

农业以水稻为主，乡境是全县毛竹与笋干的主要产地之一。境内有煤、铅锌、磷等矿藏，县内的硫铁矿也设在此乡。[1]
