浦潭村是浦城县万安乡的行政村，位于南浦溪沿岸，距县城关约12公里。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网载，村境内大石溪自然村一带，东溪在此与南浦溪汇合，汇合处有深潭，村因潭得名“浦潭”。[1]

民国时期先隶瑞安乡，后归下沙乡。1949年归第二区瑞安乡，1952年改为第二区浦潭乡；1961年改属观前公社，并设浦潭大队；1964年划入莲塘公社，1972年归水南公社，1981年转万安公社，1984年设浦潭村村民委员会，隶属万安乡。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

大石溪有朱熹手书的「锦工石壁」，博雅地名网称它是浦城八景之一。[2]

相传丞相陈舜上任后，在大石溪立牌坊，沿路建凉亭，规定过往文官下桥、武官下马；文革期间遗迹遭到破坏，今以「上马台」「下马台」两处地名留念。[2]
