洋墩村处在九牧镇东南一隅，与忠信镇相接，离镇政府约11公里。村落面积约10.48平方千米，海拔620米。[1]

名称由来[edit]

洋墩原是当地三十六洋中的一处，四周开阔，中央有一座小墩，因此得名。村委会原先就设在洋墩。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1998年6月，洋墩村村民委员会改属九牧镇。1984年，九牧乡改称洋墩村村民委员会；1961年从中分出洋墩大队，归九牧公社管辖；1956年属九牧区；1951年属第八区；民国时属毕岭乡。[2]

地理环境[edit]

洋墩村是镇内的主要粮食产区，以种植水稻为主。村道已硬化，交通便利，适合发展绿色食品生产。[1]
