中垄村位于九牧镇西南部，南与仙阳镇相接，西与古楼乡相邻。村落面积约32.08平方千米，境内千米以上的山峰有十座，最高为八台尖，海拔1376.8米。[1]

名称由来[edit]

村的两端各有一道条石垒成的田垄通到河对岸，村子则夹在中间的田垄上，故名中垄。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1998年6月，中垄村村民委员会改属九牧镇。1984年起，这里成为九牧乡下的中垄村村民委员会。1980年，因与他处的大队重名，改名中垄大队；1958年为九牧公社下的湖山大队，1957年属阁下乡，1952年属九牧区渭阁乡；民国时属九牧乡。[2]

地理环境[edit]

境内森林资源较多，山地面积大，毛竹林为主要植被，村民收入中山上的产出占大部分。村道已硬化。[1]

文化[edit]

2022年10月，中垄村入选「2022年度南平市“绿盈乡村”中级版村庄」名单。[1]
