渭潭村是九牧镇的行政村，地处福建与江西两省交界处，村部海拔250米。村委会驻地即渭潭，村名由此而来。[1][2]

名称由来[edit]

村子在詹溪中游，溪道转弯如同胃的形状，弯处溪中有一处很深的水潭，村委会设在潭边，故名渭潭。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

1998年6月，渭潭村村民委员会改属九牧镇。此前的1984年，改属九牧乡，称渭潭村村民委员会；1958年为九牧人民公社的渭潭大队；1952年属县第九区的渭潭乡；1951年属第八区的渭阁乡；解放前属九牧乡。[3]

经济[edit]

自2003年以来，村民利用本地毛竹，陆续办起家庭作坊式的毛竹粗加工，加工出的竹类产品销往浙江龙泉、龙游一带。[2]

文化[edit]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名渭潭村为「2021年福建省卫生村」。同年12月，渭潭村被认定为「2021年度南平市“绿盈乡村”中级版村庄」。[1]
