九牧镇是福建省南平市浦城县下辖的镇，位于县境西北部，镇政府驻九牧村。全镇处在闽、浙、赣三省交界一带，205国道从境内经过。镇内有梨岭关、九牧上山板桥战斗遗址等文物古迹。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋至清末，这一带分属乐平、安乐、船山、通德四里。清代设有九牧司，民国时称九牧乡。新中国成立后划归县内第九区，1958年改设九牧人民公社，1984年改为九牧乡人民政府。[1][2]

镇一级建制的年份，两家的记载不一。博雅地名网写作1998年改称九牧镇人民政府；百度百科则写作1999年1月撤销九牧乡、改设九牧镇。两说并存，待核。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

面积一项，百度百科记作155.02平方千米，博雅地名网记作约151平方千米，两者相差约4平方千米。[1][2]

镇域位于九牧溪上游，山地多，产毛竹，蕴藏煤、花岗岩和铅锌等矿。[2]

人口[edit]

在2020年11月1日零时的第七次全国人口普查中，九牧镇登记的常住人口为6914人。[3]

百度百科引用的是2019年末户籍人口12963人，与上面的常住人口口径不同，两个数字不宜相互替代。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

梨岭关在九牧村高步亭自然村，是唐代所建的古关隘。因山中产梨，此地称梨岭；据传唐代贞元初年，林家兄弟赴京应试途经此岭，在岭头留下姓名，后来两人都及第，岭因此又称折桂岭。岭上另有五显庙，俗称五显岭。[6][7]

岭畔的关墙、关门和营房遗迹至今可见。明代知县曾在岭畔树立华表；嘉庆十五年（1810年）重建关楼，楼上两面分别题写「全闽锁钥」与「越闽砥柱」。民国时修建公路，关隘受损。它列于福建省级文物保护单位的第七批，公布于2009年。[5][6][7]

九牧上山板桥战斗遗址位于吴墩村中学后门，年代属近现代，为县级文物保护单位。[5][8]

文化[edit]

名称由来有两种说法。博雅地名网载，林姓早年居此，林家九个孩子先后考取功名，都做过州牧，村民又以放牧开村，于是把此地叫作九牧。[2]浦城县人民政府网站的一篇文章则讲，唐代林披家的九个子嗣都担任过刺史，人称九牧林家，九牧村的名字由此而来。[4]

国家级生态乡镇的称号「2010—2011年度国家级生态乡镇」，于2012年12月由环境保护部确认给九牧镇。2020年12月，福建省爱卫办把九牧镇评为「福建省卫生乡镇」。2021年2月，九牧镇入选「福建省2018—2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[2]
